I have developed my revision process a lot since the first assignment of the year. I came into the semester not knowing my about revision at all. When we started to learn about the revision process I was shocked at how much I did nit know. The two most important things I have learned about the Revision process are global and local error. Knowing the difference between the two helped me a lot. I would split the two into different categories and I would revise my paper and try to get all of the local errors fixed. Next I would read it again and try to find out the bigger global problems I had with my paper. This is where peer review helped the most in my view. Being able to read other classmates essays while they read yours would help me get ideas from their writing. Once we all started to talk about our papers and everyone was bouncing ideas with each other it made it easier to what worked our own paper and what did not work. Especially when it came down to the thesis statement. I wood ask my peers if they could point out my thesis statement and if they could not point it out it meant I needed to work on it. They would also give me some ideas to help me so that was nice as well. Even when I was telling my peers my input on their work that also helped me analyze ways to make my own writing better along the way.
